Born of Hope

This is a brilliant movie, a prequel to the Lord of the Rings, made independantly and on a budget of only £25,000.  It tells the story of Arathorn and Gilraen, parents of Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen in the Peter Jackson Trilogy) mentioned briefly in one of the appendices of the Tolkein books.  The director sunk her £8000 life savings into the project, and raised the rest via a youtube add.

The quality of script, direction and action in this is exellent, and the skill of the creators to be admired and encouraged.  It shows a fantastic future for the British Film industry (as long as Peter Jackson doesn’t sue the pants off them!).  Its streamed free to view, which is nice too.

Assuming you’re using Firefox (and that this isn’t teaching you to suck eggs; oh, and that you want to watch this film offline), then:

    i) install this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10137
    ii) restart Firefox
    iii) comeback here
iv) click on the YouTube logo on the Full Movie above (to “Watch on YouTube”)
    v) click on “Download as HD” link
vi) wait until large file has finally downloaded
vii) watch the film at your leisure
