From the Provincial Website:

The Most Rev David Chillingworth, Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane and Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church says “We hold in prayer all the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti – the families of those who have been killed in this tragedy, the thousands of people whose homes and livelihoods have been destroyed, and all the rescue and aid workers, medical staff and volunteers.”

“I urge all members of the Scottish Episcopal Church to support the appeals for critical humanitarian need.”

The events of the last few days in Haiti are awful, heartbreaking scenes to see unfolding in our newspapers / tv / PC monitors.  The lack of infrastructure, the frustrations of people needing assistance, and the slow trickle of aid all add to the problem.

Give what you can, generously and prayerfully to the aid effort.  Either through Christian Aid or the Disasters Emergency Comittee, which works with a variety of aid agencies.  Click the links, or give at the post office.
